# Srt To Txt — REST API endpoint `srt-to-txt`

Turn a SubRip (.srt) or WebVTT (.vtt) caption file into a plain-text transcript: cue numbers and timestamps are removed and the cue text is kept in order. join "blank_line" (default) puts each cue on its own paragraph; "paragraph" joins everything into one block of running text. HTML tags such as <i> and ASS override blocks such as {\an8} are stripped by default. The text is not summarized or rewritten.
