Add your students once and use them across all tools - from attendance tracking to report card generation. ## Tips for Getting the Most Out of Education Suite - Export your data regularly as a JSON backup to prevent accidental loss when clearing browser storage. - Use color-coded classes to visually distinguish subjects at a glance in the sidebar. - Import students from a spreadsheet to save time at the start of the semester instead of adding them one by one. - Create rubrics before designing quizzes so your assessment criteria are consistent across assignments. - Print seating charts and share them with substitute teachers so classroom routines stay uninterrupted. ## Frequently Asked Questions ### Where is my data stored, and is it encrypted? In your browser's IndexedDB storage on this device; nothing is uploaded to FindUtils. Student, class and teacher records are encrypted with AES-GCM using a key your browser generates and cannot export. Seating charts, attendance, report cards, lesson plans, rubrics, quizzes, flashcards, worksheets and exam plans are stored unencrypted. The key is kept in the same browser, so the encryption does not protect against someone who can use this browser profile, and clearing the site's data deletes both the records and the key. Export a JSON backup to keep a copy. Data saved by older versions in localStorage is moved into IndexedDB automatically the first time you open the Suite. ### Can I use this on multiple devices? Since data is stored locally, you'll need to export your data from one device and import it on another to sync. Use the Export button to download a JSON backup file, then use Import on your other device. ### What tools are included? The suite includes: Student Management, Seating Chart Maker, Attendance Tracker, Report Card Generator, Lesson Plan Template, Rubric Generator, Quiz Maker, Flashcard Maker, Worksheet Generator, Grade Calculator, and Exam Planner. ### Is there a limit to how many students I can add? There is no fixed limit. IndexedDB can hold far more than a class needs; the practical limit is the storage your browser allows this site, which is usually a share of the free disk space. For typical classroom sizes this is not an issue. ### Can I import students from a spreadsheet? Yes! You can import students using CSV or Excel files. Download the template to see the required format, then fill in your student data and import it. The columns are: First Name, Last Name, Email, Student Number, and Tags. ### Can I print report cards and worksheets? Yes. Report cards have a Print button that formats the card for standard paper sizes. Worksheets can be printed with or without the answer key, making it easy to distribute to students and keep a grading copy for yourself. ### Does Education Suite work offline? Once the page is loaded, the tools keep working without an internet connection, because your data is read from and saved to this browser's IndexedDB storage. You only need a connection to load the page. ### How do I move my data to a new computer? Click the Export button to download a complete JSON backup of all your classes, students, and tool data. On your new computer, open Education Suite and click Import to restore everything from that file. ### Is there a mobile app version? Education Suite is a web-based tool that works in any modern mobile browser. There is no separate app to install. Simply visit the page on your phone or tablet and all features are available. ### Can multiple teachers share the same data? Each teacher maintains their own local data. To share records, one teacher can export the JSON file and send it to a colleague, who can then import it.
