# Instagram Post Generator

Make a mock Instagram feed post with profile, photo, caption, likes and comments. Every PNG carries a FindUtils.com watermark.

**Use this tool:** [Instagram Post Generator](https://findutils.com/mockups/instagram-post-generator/)

## Programmatic access

- Browser-only: this tool works on a file, the DOM, or a browser API and has no REST or MCP id.

## Why use our Instagram Post Generator?

Create realistic Instagram post mockups for social media marketing presentations, content planning, educational materials, or creative projects. Customize profiles, captions, likes, and comments to demonstrate engagement strategies.

## Tips for Realistic Instagram Mockups

- Use a square image: the post frame is square and crops anything taller or wider to fill it.
- Keep captions under 125 characters if you want them to display without a 'more' truncation, just like the real app.
- Add two or three comments from different usernames to simulate natural engagement instead of leaving comments empty.
- Toggle between light and dark themes to see which version works best for your presentation or pitch deck background.
- Always include the verified badge sparingly. Overusing it can make mockups look less believable in professional settings.

## Frequently Asked Questions

### Is this for creating fake Instagram posts?

This tool creates mock screenshots for legitimate purposes like marketing presentations, educational content, and entertainment. Always use responsibly.

### Can I remove the watermark?

No, the watermark is always present to indicate the image is a mockup and not a real Instagram post.

### What image formats are supported?

You can upload JPG, PNG, and WebP images. Downloads are in PNG format.

### Can I add multiple comments?

Yes. Add as many comments as you like with different usernames; the post shows the first two and a "View all" line with the total, as Instagram does.

### Are my images stored?

No, all processing happens locally in your browser. Nothing is uploaded to our servers.

### Does the Instagram Post Generator require a signup?

No. The tool is available with no sign-up, no usage limits, and no hidden fees. You can generate as many mockups as you need.

### Can I use the generated images commercially?

You can use the mockups in presentations, pitch decks, and educational materials. However, do not use them to impersonate real accounts or spread misinformation.

### Does the tool support Instagram Stories or Reels mockups?

This tool makes feed posts only. For a vertical 9:16 story with progress bars, text overlays and a reply bar, use the [Instagram Story Mockup](https://findutils.com/mockups/instagram-story-mockup/). There is no Reels mockup: both tools export a still PNG.

### What resolution is the downloaded image?

The PNG is exported at twice the on-screen size, which is sharp on high-density screens and in slides. For large prints you may still want to upscale it.

### Can I customize the timestamp on the post?

Yes, you can enter any custom time-ago text such as '2 hours ago' or '3 days ago' to match the scenario you are mocking up.
